πŸš€ We are pleased to announce the release of Sync-in 1.9, introducing an enhanced image viewer, a native text editor, and many other new features and optimizations designed to improve the user experience and the overall reliability of the platform.

πŸ’» Interface & User Experience​

  • Updated to the new Sync-in visual identity.
  • The image viewer can now browse all images in the current directory, start a slideshow, toggle fullscreen mode, and display detailed image properties.
  • Added native editing for all text files, including search, syntax highlighting, lock/unlock, and undo/redo capabilities.
  • Added overwrite confirmation dialogs for upload, rename, copy, and move actions.
  • Links: users are now redirected directly to the shared directory when accessing it through a link.
  • Added the ability to view a directory’s size from the information panel in the right sidebar.
  • Prevented drag-and-drop operations in spaces where the action is not allowed.

πŸ” File Security & Management​

  • File Lock Management: users can now request an unlock from the file’s lock owner, and the owner of a file can also remove the lock.
  • Improved visibility of locks on anchored and shared files.
  • Restored access to anchored files from an external location when shared via a link.
  • Forced thumbnail generation for broken or older images.
  • Fixed copy failures occurring when sample documents were created on a CIFS share.

  • LDAP:
    • cn and mail are now accepted as login attributes.
    • Users can now log in using their email address once they have been identified at least once.
  • Fixed an issue affecting the visibility of users within visible groups.
  • Added server update notifications.
  • Docker Compose now ships with OnlyOffice 9.1.
  • Many additional optimizations and bug fixes.
