Sync-in is now supported by SignPath Foundation.

SignPath Foundation support for Sync-in

This support will help us provide signed Sync-in Windows desktop applications to the community.

Through SignPath Foundation, open-source projects can access code signing in a way that is designed for community software: the certificate is provided by SignPath Foundation, and SignPath.io helps connect the signed binary back to the project's source repository and release process.

For Sync-in, this means official Windows desktop application executables and installers can be distributed with a valid signature, instead of unsigned files. Releases will be easier to identify for users, easier to assess for administrators, and better aligned with the security expectations around modern software distribution.

In practice, this will help us:

  • publish signed Sync-in Windows desktop application executables and installers
  • reduce the friction and uncertainty caused by unsigned application downloads
  • give users and organizations a stronger basis for trusting the Windows distribution channel

Free code signing is provided by SignPath.io, with the certificate provided by SignPath Foundation.

Many thanks to SignPath for supporting open-source projects and helping make secure software distribution more accessible to communities like ours.
