Sync-in's desktop applications (Windows, macOS, Linux) extend the features of the web interface while integrating
natively with your operating system.

They offer a smooth, secure, and always-connected experience with your files, providing immediate access directly from your workstation.

  • 🗃️ Server-based updates: when Internet access is unavailable, the client can automatically fetch updates from the server, provided a local repository has been configured.
  • 📡 Offline detection: the app detects network outages and adapts its behavior accordingly.

Access Requirements​

  • Have the permission to access from the desktop application
  • Download the appropriate client for your operating system from your Account or from the Download page

Configuration​

Once the application is installed on your device, simply connect to your Sync-in server by filling in the following fields:

  • Server display name: a custom name to identify this server in the app
  • Server URL: https://<your-domain>
  • Username or email: same as used on the web interface
  • Password: same as your Sync-in password

Management​

Once the desktop application is configured and registered with the server, it is granted access to your account.
Details about this connection can be viewed from the Clients section of your account.

You can revoke this access at any time, from any device.

Security​

After a certain period, reauthentication may be required to securely renew access to your account.
